When it comes to working with new clients on a continual basis, you learn many things about people and your own skill set, the longer you work as a consultant, web designer, marketing exert and sales person.
There is no doubt that over the last 10 years I have grown as a person and learned how to communicate with a huge variety of people. And it is this ability to work well with others and see jobs through to a satisfactory completion that can set a good Freelance Web Designer apart from other similar workers.
You see we are not all cut out to work in this way, it takes discipline, hard work and determination to constantly open up to others and in many cases work discussed over many emails does not even materialise for a myriad of reasons, at a huge net loss time wise to me as you are often losing time and money in the process of trying to help others.
This is why I am a little bit more direct in my approach as I would prefer people understood this prior to contacting me.
That said for the most part clients become clients and work gets delivered to the level I expect and usually far exceeds the level my clients were expecting, which makes both parties happy.
How to deliver excellent Web Design:
One of the main things I have learned is vital at early stages of working with a new client or on any project is the art of project management, setting out a clear agenda of deliverables and ensuring that information is clearly communicated at all stages.
This saves time, and avoids the issue of people not being happy at the delivery of something unexpected.
